City Mix Soil

A combination of sand, top soil, mushroom and organic compost. Our old standby, excellent for new lawns and planting areas.

Ciardella’s Mix

Our signature blend of redwood compost, sand, horticultural red lava, peat moss, and basic fertilizers. A soilless blend used for potting, starting seedlings, bulbs and planter areas.

CK Mix Soil

A blend of City Mix, Ciardella’s Mix, and Clod Buster. Excellent for container gardens and planter areas.

General Container Mix Soil

A combination of garden compost, redwood compost, sand, and basic fertilizers. General Container Mix is used for potting up general nursery stock.

Top Soil

A top soil with no amendments, used to add volume to planting areas where new soil is needed. Also used as the basis for building special soil mixes.

Clod Buster (Soil Conditioner)

A blend of garden compost, mushroom compost, organic compost, and sand. Used as an amendment to help break up heavy clay soils; also used to prepare soil for new lawns, planting areas, and vegetable gardens.

Mushroom Compost (Soil Conditioner)

A blend of peat moss, horse manure, and straw. Used as an amendment in new lawns and vegetable gardens.

Redwood Compost (Soil Conditioner)

Redwood shavings with nitrogen added. Used as a universal soil amendment to prepare for sod lawns and planting areas, excellent for top dressing of newly-seeded lawns.

Garden Compost (Soil Conditioner)

Made from composted wood products. Used as an amendment for new lawns and planting areas.

Lignapeat (Soil Conditioner)

An organic alternative to peat moss. Use where water retention and air space is desired.

D-COMP (Organic Soil Amendment)

Made from composted wood products. Used as an amendment for new lawns and planting areas.
